KAD: Kaiserlautern Army Depot. This is the place. I was stationed here for almost 3 years. I did live a couple other places but this was home for 90% of the time. I did, however, have an apartment off base at the same time. We called it a "pad" in those days. I really did have a great time back then.

Lately, everything is barricaded and they stopped me from taking pictures. No sense of humor, these guys. I even told them I used to be an MP here 30 years ago and just wanted some pictures to remember the place by. The last time I was here on a visit about 9 years ago, everything was open. You could just drive right in. Not anymore. I like the old days much better.
