Kaiserslautern: A bustling town not far from France and Luxembourgh. Former home to the largest European contingent of American military, it is where yours truly lived for 3 years. Now, only a fraction of the American presence remains but soon all the American military from the Frankfurt area will move to the Kaiserslautern (K-Town) area. Many things have changed here over the years. Seen in the background above is the modern building where Heide and I married. Most of Heide's family still live in or near here, hence all the family shots. It was her mother's 74th birthday celebration.
While here, we stayed at the Burgshanke Hotel in Hohenecken, a suburb.
