Tergernsee: Looks like a gem of a lake and surrounding area. Unfortunately, we were in pursuit of sunnier locations and didn't spend any time. We did find time to drive around the whole lake sometimes coming very close to falling in. There's a really pretty town there. This in one place I'd like to return and investigate more fully. See (pronounced like "say") means lake in German. Meer means sea.
Notice the deep green color in picture 0475. Peg says that is the same color she has seen in northern Canadian lakes. Maybe it means cold and deep water.
